Ferrari is an Italian brand founded 1947 by Enzo Ferrari ( 1898 – 1988 ). The logo is a yellow shield with a rearing black stallion . Hence the nickname Ferrari Cavallino Rampante. Ferrari is currently owned by Fiat .
Enzo Ferrari started his career as a racing driver, but eventually found out that his skill was greater in leadership. He was team manager for Alfa Romeo through the 1920s and 1930s , but had severed those ties in 1938 to develop its own cars. His severance with Alfa Romeo stipulated that he could not use his own name, so these cars were built under the name Auto Avio Construzioni. When war came, his factory in Modena swapped into war production. After the war could Enzo not come soon enough in the process of making racing cars again and established himself in Maranello (10 km south of Modena ), so already in 1946 appeared the first “real” Ferrari model 166th Enzo realized quickly that prize money could not fund his racing team, so he decided to make street cars on the basis of race models and sell for exorbitant high prices.
